ELIGIBILITY:

o This contest is open to Nova Scotia residents age 19 and over. Both participants of the wedding must be age 19 and over. o There is an entry limit of one entry per wedding couple. o Entries must be submitted by paying your reservation deposit on any wedding rental items in a single contract with a minimum value of $1,500. o The following persons are not eligible to enter the contest: o Anyone under the age of 19. o Individuals who are not residents of Nova Scotia. o Entries with incomplete information will be disqualified. o Any attempt or suspected attempt to enter this contest in a way not authorized by these rules will be considered tampering, which will result in disqualification. DRAWING OF PRIZE: o Winners will be selected from all valid entries received during the appropriate contest period. The draws will take place at MacFarlands Events, located at 3607 Kempt Road in Halifax, Nova Scotia. MacFarlands Events will notify the winners by telephone or email sent to the address provided on the contest wedding rental order reservation. Before a prize is awarded, the eligible participant must correctly answer without assistance a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question, chosen by MacFarlands Events and administered in person or by telephone. In the event that an entry drawn for the prize is subsequently disqualified or otherwise determined to be ineligible, another entry will be drawn and will be eligible to win the prize. o By accepting the contest prize, the winner authorizes MacFarlands Events and participating sponsors to use publicly the winner’s name, city of residence and photographs, for promotional purposes

BLACKOUT DATES:

o The prize is not available to be used on the following long weekends. o Canada Day Week (June 30th – July 2nd, 2020) o Natal Day (July 31st – August 4th, 2020) o Labour Day (September 4th – September 08, 2020) o Thanksgiving (October 9th – October 13th, 2020) o Christmas & Boxing Day (December 18th – December 31st, 2020)

GENERAL RULES:

o To be declared a winner, the selected participant must provide proof of identification and proof of meeting all contest rules and requirements. o The participant’s name, address, postal code phone number, and email address must be complete and legible on the entry form to be considered an eligible entry. Though reasonable efforts will be made to correctly identify and contact the selected participant, MacFarlands Events reserves the right to disqualify any selected entry or participant on the basis that the entry is illegible, not eligible or that a MacFarlands Events representative is otherwise unable to contact or locate the selected participant, or that the selected participant does not meet all contest rules and requirements. o The selected participant must accept the prize as awarded and cannot assign the prize. o The chance of being selected in the draw is dependent upon the number of entries received for the draw. o All entry reservation deposits become the property of MacFarlands Events and will not be acknowledged or returned. Entries that have been obtained or made through fraudulent means will be disqualified. MacFarlands Events will not be responsible for entries lost, misdirected or delayed for any reason whatsoever o By entering this contest, participants agree to release and hold harmless MacFarlands Events, the sponsors, and their shareholders, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, expense or other liability arising from participation in this contest or the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize. o Decisions of MacFarlands Events with respect to this contest are final on all matters of fact, interpretation, eligibility, and procedure. o Both MacFarlands Events and sponsors have the right, at their sole discretion, to make prize substitutions of equivalent kind and value in the event of unavailability of any specified rental item for reasons beyond their control. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded and must be used by December 31, 2020.
